8x + 3y = 45
2x + 3y = 27

8x + 3y = 45 * -2
2x + 3y = 27 * 8

-16x - 6y = 90
16x + 24y = 216

24y = 216
y = 216/24
y = 9


8x + 3y = 45
8x + 3(9) = 45

8x + 27 = 45
8x = 45 - 27
8x = 18
x = 18/8
x = 2.25
